History of the Club:
The High Command Marching Club Inc. was originally formed
in 1987 and celebrated their 20th
year in
the sport last season.
Originally with only a Senior Team the club branched out by
incorporating an Under 9 and an Under 12 team in August
2002, following the Adelaide Nationals the same year.
It was thought that the old-style military name and
traditional black uniform of the Senior Team was probably a
little “old” for the 2 younger teams, so the electric blue
in the club colours became the predominant colour of
the Eurhythmic
Drill Teams.
Following the younger team’s state and national successes
an Intermediate Team was also introduced to the club in
2004.
The Senior Team still wears the black and keeps the club
name of High Command.
The Eurhythmic Under 12’s and our Intermediate teams have
been State and National Champions in various categories
from their first National Titles appearance in Sydney, 2004
through until Adelaide, 2008.
The Senior Team has had many successes through out their 21
year history – SA State Champions for 13 of those years and
various National Championship and International awards. At
the last International Drill Dance Championships the team
won first Military (Exhibition) and first Prop Precision
routines.
The High Command teams all train at the Enfield Recreation
Centre, Regency Road, Enfield.
